Robootikasündmusel “ROBOTEX 2017”

24.-26. novembrini osalesime oma meeskonnaga esimest korda Euroopa suurimal robootikasündmusel ROBOTEX.

Meie väljapanek hõlmas 24m² suuruse pinna, millest 8m² võttis enda alla meie seni suurim LEGO-linn, mis seekord valmis koos meie Läti sõprade väikese abiga. Näituse üheks tõmbenumbriks oli kõigi aegade suurim LEGO komplekt – 2017 aasta LEGO Star Wars UCS Millennium Falcon. Ülejäänud väljapaneku moodustasid meie liikmete omaehitised ja kollektsioonid. Ekspositsiooni mahtus ära ka ehtisi Läti ja Soome LEGO-klubidelt. Meie väliskülalised olid kõikidel päevadel ka kohapeal ja jagasid aktiivsematele huvilistele oma kogemusi ja teadmisi. Reklaamisime aktiivselt ka oma talvist suurüritust LEGOPÄEVA, kus kohtume kõikide oma fännidega juba veebruaris!

Robotexi külastas sel aastal üle 24 000 inimese.

On November 24-26 EstLUG for the first time participated at the Europe largest robotics festival ROBOTEX.

Of out total 24m² area, around 8m² was covered by a city layout, our largest up-to-date collaboration of seven our members of the LUG and a harbor area brought by our Latvian colleague. Other parts of the exhibition was taken by a LEGO Technic area, Brickheads and Mixels, WWII custom-built layouts and models, classic-style LEGO sets and own creations, Star Wars themed area with the first new Millenium Falcon in Estonia being shown, and a number of custom Star Wars models being presented by our Finnish colleagues.

We did olso promote (and continue promoting) our next event which will happen in Kolga. See all the LEGO fans there in February 2018!

As per report of ROBOTEX organisers, the total number of visitors during three days of the event was around 24 000.

Messil “Laps ja Pere 2017”

2.-3. septembrini osales EstLUGi tiim Saku Suurhallis messil “Laps ja Pere 2017”. Esitlesime päris esimest oma jõududega valminud LEGO-linna. Väike aga see-eest ütlemata ilus linnake sündis 6 inimese koostöös. Väikesema osa väljapanekust moodustasid mõned militaarteemalised MOCid ja LEGO Star Wars setid UCS-sarjast. Lisaks tutvustasime huvilistele oma tegevust ja tulevasi üritusi (mis on Robotex Novembris 2017 Tallinnas ja Klotsipäev Veebruaris 2018 Kolgas).

On September 2-3, 2017, the EstLUG team took part in the “Laps ja Pere 2017” (“Child and Family 2017”) fair in Tallinn, Estonia. We’ve made our first large scale collaboration project and have built the LEGO City layout which combined the effort of 6 builders. In addition to the layout, a number of military MOCs was displayed, as well as some of the new Star Wars UCS sets.

Another important target for the event was to promote the LUG and get more people aquainted to it, and also to promote the next events, which are Robotex in November 2017 in Tallinn, and Builders-Day in February 2018 in Kolga.

The video above shows a timelapse of the city on-site assembly, which took us around 1,5 hours to complete.

BalticLUG-i sünnipäev

10.-11. Juunil tähistati Lätis Algonas BalticLUGi 4. sünnipäeva. Kohal olid AFOL-id Eestist, Lätist ja Leedust. Tutvuti kohalike vaatamisväärsustega ja mängiti palju erinevaid sportmänge. Loomulikult räägiti palju Legodest ja tutvustati oma tegemisi ning tulevikuplaane. Paljud osalejad olid tulnud kohale oma peredega.

LEGOPÄEV Kolga Koolis 2017

22. märtsil toimus Kolga Koolis järjekorras juba teine LEGOPÄEV. Kooliõpilased üle Eesti näitasid oma vahvaid LEGO-ehitisi, mis olid just selleks ürituseks valminud. Võistlusel osales üle 40 meeskonna. Valminud ehitisi hindas rahvusvaheline zürii ja parimad võitsid vahvaid auhindu. Lisaks laste loomingule sai kohapeal vaadata ka Eesti, Läti ja Leedu täiskasvanud LEGO fännide loomingut ja kollektsioone. Külalistele toimusid kohapeal erinevad ehitamisvõistlused ja lapsed said LEGO klotsidest ehitada.

2018. a LEGOPÄEV toimub 17. veebruaril.

On March 22nd, 2017, the second LEGOPAEV took place at Kolga school. School children all over  Estonia had displayed  their creations, which were made specifically for the event. In total, over 40 teams participated, presenting 55 MOCs. The creations were judged by AFOLs from Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, and the top-three of each category had received the prizes.

Additionally, the AFOLs brought and assembled a LEGO city layout, a number of activities (such as Minecraft building table and remote-controlled machinery)  and various MOCs and collections.

Next LEGOPAEV will take place on February 17, 2018.

WinterCon 2017 Riias

WinterCon 2017 Riias

Kolmas WinterCon toimus 07-08. jaanuaril 2017 Riias. Eventi põhimõte ja suuremaid üritused on seotud rohkem cosplay-huvilistega, aga viimastel aastatel võtavad sellest osa üha enam erinevaid hobi-gruppe, sealhulgas ka LEGO-ehitajatest harrastajad.

Paar EstLUG-i ehitajat võtsid ka sel aastalkoos LatLUGi kollegidega üritusest osa.

Järgmine UniCon/WinterCon üritus toimub Riias Kipsala Keskuses 05-06. Augustil 2017; link üritusele Facebookis – https://www.facebook.com/events/325993817836968

On January 07-08, 2017, the third WinterCon took place in Riga, Latvia. The event is originally intended for cosplayers and various memorabilia collectors, but during the last years it has grown into the unofficial “all popular culture hobby-groups” convent for the Baltics (Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania), with guests and participants also from Russia, Poland, Scandinavia etc. There are usually two events each year – one held in August (under the brand-name Unicon) and another in December or January.

Two of the EstLUG members had joined the LATLUG activity, contributing custom modular buildings to the city layout, presenting some of the new Star Wars MOCs, and bringing some larger Creator sets for display.
